This delightful traditional stone Grade II listed Lakeland cottage is tucked away in one of the Lake District’s ‘best bits’; Ambleside Conservation Area, and handily placed for walking, climbing, trekking, boating, shopping and, after all that, relaxing at some of the excellent local bars and restaurants.

Walking from the center of Ambleside to Market Cross, continue up North Road, crossing the bridge of Stock Ghyll and turn immediately right into Peggy Hill (pedestrian only).

At the top of Peggy Hill there is a terraced row of traditional stone built cottages facing you and Hillcrest Cottage is the last one on the left. Alternatively there is some on-road parking on Fair View Road and nearby Chapel Hill.
